Put em up

 I woke up feeling I was in a battle “put em up put em up”.

I woke up screaming soundless “I’ll fight you with one paw behind my back”.

I woke up jaw clenched and anxious “I’ll fight you standing on one foot”

I woke up with dread wrenching at my guts “I’ll fight you with my eyes close”

“And you were there and you were there but you couldn’t have been could you” I’m not Dorothy but I feel I could be the cowardly lion.
