Our eyes meet, flashes of last night,  jolts reignites between us. You watch me watch your lips in our reflection, you are so close I could touch your shoulder, pull back, no use. Your arms were my home until the wedding planner comes to take you away, it is time.

I remember the first time I met you at your cousin's wedding, sitting stylish on make up chair waiting to get our African wedding headdress tied, while the heat in the room melted our professionally made up faces. We hit if off right away, talking and laughing as if you were a missing twin once lost now found again. It felt like we spent every moment of each day of the eight days wedding,  as part of the wedding party with your duties to the bride, there was always somewhere you had to be. The feel of your soft palm as you pulled my me to you. Let's go, you smile at me, two hands are better than one.

In the bedroom I couldn't help it, I leaned in to kiss, you turn away. My lips brushed your cheek, soft and I froze, worried about what I would find when I opened my eyes.

Someone called your name, you smiled and took the bag behind me. Come on you said, we don't want to upset the bride, again. I followed you like a love sick loon, so happy that my attempt at a kiss hadn't turned into a massive big deal, with tears and shouting, maybe a look of revulsion. Happy that your body language hadn't changed and you were still into me, kind of.

I think about the first time we kissed, you kissed me, clear and sober in the afternoon sun. It came as a surprise, I was trying to make a point about some subject that seemed significant at the time, then I felt your heat, before I smelt your face, and like an out of body experience, there you were in my arms, lips on mine, soft and open. Brain freeze, breath held, is this really happening or is this a heat stroke, a bit of malaria fever or low blood sugar. With the dizziness, my chest is pounding so loud how can the world not hear it.

( Idea -; dialogue main character's only with reference to the outside world, tension outlaws, normal people, must happily ever after)
