Start the conversation

There is a conversation to be had, there is a fear to be acknowledged, can you hear already the multitudes screaming at you to shut up? Can you hear already the reactionaries already getting ready to pounce, pounce, shout you down.
Do we know the names of the countless dead, do we care about the displaced thousands, the mute hundreds. Do they matter in the world of politics and power. Are we not scared to voice an opinion. After all we are not Moddibo's we did not learn the Quran by heart. After all we cannot be true muslims, in our big houses and fancy cars. What do we care until it comes to our street, who is being bombed, or accused? What do we care for about the missing many, what records, who hurts.

When our people kill our people for lies and false promises. When disenfranchised communities, allow parasites to take over. After all, what is the difference between one parasite to another. What is different in one overlord to another.
The people want peace, the want weddings, naming ceremonies, Eid celebrations, money for their families, life for their children, to bury their dead in peace.
The people want peace I assume, what person have I put this question to?
There is a conversation to be had, without blame, without bias. We are all sheep, we keep to the herd, we accept unreasonableness in the name of peace.
There are voices mute, but not forgotten, that will be heard.
We must have a conversation, no matter how clumsy or indelicate. Someone must start the talk.
Start the talk today.
