I think I have found love
The apocalypse is here or something like it
There is no law we are all in arms
Hiding upstairs with my family
Someone approaches we can all feel it
Outside the window the town is ghost and sand
Father and brothers led the way we followed cautiously
Looking down I saw a man on a chair with our dog by his side
Covered in dust from his big head to this worn feet
Indifferent to our masculine menace
From the side of my eye I caught a glimmer
A more exciting vision caught my soul
Every word she spoke every gesture she made I followed
It may have been days or weeks I was her constant companion
She regaled me with tales and gossip and stories
She told me of her life, her friends, her politics, her philosophies
I bathed in her attention my life had found its purpose
One day she was gone
I returned to my family and told mother
I think I have found love
There is no law we are all in arms
Hiding upstairs with my family
Someone approaches we can all feel it
Outside the window the town is ghost and sand
Father and brothers led the way we followed cautiously
Looking down I saw a man on a chair with our dog by his side
Covered in dust from his big head to this worn feet
Indifferent to our masculine menace
From the side of my eye I caught a glimmer
A more exciting vision caught my soul
Every word she spoke every gesture she made I followed
