Have you noticed sun?

Have you noticed sun?
Its absence but especially when its here
Green particularly catches the eye
Grass, leaves, security fence
And yellows and reds
Funny to think that not very far away
We hide from the sun burning scorching
Its heat relentless parching dry
Here it’s much gentler
Delicate rays kissing the skin
Dancing cheerfulness over the soul
Faces raised by design
Indoors looking out
Misplaced by the clouds
I always notice the sun
