I am thankful for the little things
Like getting out of bed and getting to work

This too is life, after the excitement, excesses self imposed merriment.
This too is life when the twitter meltdown is most fascinating
There is nothing in my head my cuticles are most interesting
My eyes would like to close in sleep
Yawning at another weather discussion

I am a lucky lady
I have been invited to a party on Friday
I have been given a bag o f crisp and half club sandwich
The guys in front always say hello and I say hello back

Earthquakes
The earth quakes
Solid ground gone to ground
The sky is still standing
The earth has fallen
15 seconds of eternity
Beyond imagination

Parents are funny creatures
I can’t wait to be one

The girl climbed up the tree
To nest in the tree with branches for leaves
Falling snow makes all things pretty
Falling snow makes peoples’ walk slow
Shiver into their winter clothes
The limb of the tree is layered in three colours
She gives it a lick to see if it’s sweet
But tumbled down
Held on by her tongue
Her tongue held down by her head
Her head by her neck
Neck by her trunk
Trunk by her warm winter clothes
She froze in fear
Then thought to herself
It’s prettier up here
I think I’ll just hang
