Too indolent to dream

I am too indolent to dream

In a perfect world I would have won the lottery by now

Me the secret billionaire coming to work anxious in case I am cut off from the world

From people

People are work

They drain me

But it is cold out there in the world without people is it not?

Man cannot leave on one alone

Even dogs have company

This is where you come in

Swan into my life like an elegant distress signal

Passion, loud, upheaval, alive

The point of living is to be alive

I am now convinced I will tread water until we meet

With nothing more than a casual handshake

Valiantly I will stay true

Or see myself wither

Coward

I am in spite of life

A proud coaster

I wish

It is people you see

People get under my skin and into my dreams

They say a word

A word just sits there like a bloodsucker

Then you think about it

You feed it

And you being to care

Your pride tarnishes

You question yourself
