Scary thought
A scary thought
The house is a mess
The kitchen a dive
The dogs have been ignored
The hall way a mass of fur
There are shoes scattered all about
There must be a stale smell to the place
There must be a stale smell to me
It is time to get up
There is a problem when the dogs' bowl is nearly dry
When even my very spirit is weary of expression
When even my demons desert me
I know what it is
It is probably loneliness
But what if it were a child not a dog
What a scary thought
The house is a mess
The kitchen a dive
The dogs have been ignored
The hall way a mass of fur
There are shoes scattered all about
There must be a stale smell to the place
There must be a stale smell to me
It is time to get up
There is a problem when the dogs' bowl is nearly dry
When even my very spirit is weary of expression
When even my demons desert me
I know what it is
It is probably loneliness
But what if it were a child not a dog
What a scary thought
