Why Barack Obama should not be President
Why Barack Obama should not be President
Current mood: blissful
Why Barack Obama should not be President - at least not this time.
Yes I am aware that this is a time for a change.
And we ( meaning the rest of the world who are greatly affected by the shenanigans in the good U S of A) would prefer if Black Obama could just sit this one out.
I know we are tired of dyNASTYS, all though I am not sure I could compare the Clinton's Sleaze with the mayhem and madness that was George Bush and GW.
Personnally I still blame Osama Bin Ladin for the re-election of old Doubyah and Dick Chenney. What was he thinking?
Anyway back to Black Obama; I mean it is obvious a new face, a radical change would greatly change the world view of America.
There would be a general feeling of he is one of us. Part of the modern, global, international and continually shrinking world.
No doubt he is smart, though in American politics that maybe a strike against him.
He is eloquent, which is not really a requirement for the top job these days.
Charming, warm and all the things that makes Oprah Winfrey's nights so steamy.
But the problem remains, is the American political system ready for a black president?
I mean it is hard enough to get anything done if the opposition politcal party has control of the house of representative and Congress.
The many nuances and institutional discrimination he would have to over come, especially if he does not have a majority win in the election is torturous just to think of.
He is no fan of the traditional black politicos whether democrat or republican. Who perceive him as an outsider who do not understand their KUNTA KINTE Syndrome.
And his white brothers, just putting aside the hard liners who think America should be run by someone who "represents them".
His Liberal friends will just fold their hands and do nothing. They will watch while he is emasculated and disempowered.
Not that I think this is necessarily a bad thing to happen to a politician - vile creatures that they are.
But his impotency in power would have far, long and wide reaching implications to not only to his race (all though some of us think of him as the messiah) but implications we have not even considered.
Anywhere here is hoping he let Mrs Clinton take this one, he is young and his time is near but not this one. Not just yet
ps. And he had better say no to any offers of Vice Presidency
