Lent

The week draws to a close,
Those that Lent do.
A season of reflection and sacrifice,
A deepened connection, divine.

But for us, “the other”
Our journey may be marked by struggle, pain.
With made sacrifices,
In the names of love, of liberation, of Self.

In this season of sacrifice,

As we remember the power of voice. And use the words which are our catalysts.

Then our love is a revolutionary act,

by existing we break down oppression.

Are we wise in this season of Lent,
To use this season to deepen our commitment.

To live lives in Love and Liberation. 

As we make for those we love,
Let us be sure that our gifts are food.
A symbol of power and our resilience,

So that in the end, is not our love the true offering?
That fire that burns within us - All.
In this season we fan that flame,
We are a beacon of hope for all who strive.

May our love be a force for transformation,
A light in the darkness, a healing balm.
May this season be a time of renewal,
A time to deepen our all connections.

Let us go forth with courage and determination,
And let our love be fierce and unrelenting.
For in the end, it is through our love and solidarity,
That we may transform the world and our future.
